    150 Ficht dies?

I have a 2004 150 Ficht on the back of my Triton. The boat/motor was bought new in 2004. It has been great since then, until this season. When you start it up, it will start fine. Then about 5 seconds later it dies, and wont start again. It only does it every now and then, but I have never had a problem with it before. When this happens, the ball loses its prime. The only way to get it running again is to open the throttle then turn it over, which doesnt always work. I changed the ball, but no such luck. It doesnt have any codes or anything in it, and the guy I took it to said its tough to figure out until something breaks, because its intermitten. So, anyone have any ideas? The one thing I noticed is that it happened both times after I put gas in it, but the "mechanic" said that was just a coincidence.

had a similar issue with my 175. new lift pump did not help, new high pressure ppump with vapor separtor was th problem. The lift pump is cheap so i started with that, the HP pump was 400$.

I assume you changed all filters and so forth....You can check the intake tube under the sending unit it might have gotten clogged, but unlikely....
