Thinking about trying a 4 blade on my bug for rough water. I currently run a 25t1 at 64MPH (5700RPM) but I'm also at 2800 feet in elevation. Looking for feedback on the 225 with a YAMAHA 4 blade (want to stick with the Yamaha props only please). What pitch/diameter and RPM/Speeds.

From what I've heard ZX's don't like a 4 blade
get a 26 txp lighting prop and jack the motor up till you get around 15 to 18 psi in turns. I run one on my 05 zx 225 and get 73 to 74 with to people here in louisiana.
You should be getting a lot more speed out of that boat. I consistantly hit 70-71 with a full tournament load and two people.
I run the Yamaha 3-blade 27T, I believe...
Turbo is now owned by Yamaha and an OT/4 prop would run awesome on your boat.
Yeah, I wish I saw more speed, too. But you're probably running nearer to sea level and I'm up in the sky (2800 ft). I'm going to have mark work a 25t1 for me when he get's back from hunting, but I don't know how much more I can get up here in the thin air.
Anyone tried the new High Seas props yet?
