buying new 07 21i what do i need to know

any recalls or such. also what are you guys getting for mph i am coming out of a 05 stratos 201 duo pro xl with 250 hpdi

They made a slight change in the hull design to lessen porpoising and changed something in the electronic locks. I think all of these changes were on '06 models and maybe a few very early production '07 models. If it is new on a dealer lot, it was probably built later in the year, or had the upgrades handled by the dealer already. I'm sure someone will be along shortly that has more knowledge that me.
Does it have a 250 or a 300 on it?

Only the 2006 and basically the first 2006 they learned had some possibilities of low speed handling and lock upgrade and those boats were reworked at the factory for no charge to the customer.

The 2007 and later all had these issues directed and resolved before model year change. I've had 3 20i's and have not had any issues with the boats. Probably the best all around boat for smooth, dry ride ride and great performance. Great fishing platform and easy to drive.

Great story: took a friend of mine fishing that owns another brand running down the lake took my hands off the wheel opened my drink and he grabbed the steering wheel. I had to swat his hands away. He could not imagine that the Skeeter will keep a straight line and so easy to drive. He told me he was very impressed and that he was going to have to go home and really think hard about upgrading. You just really need to ride in one to appreciate the difference.

doug your boat was the reason i started looking i went for a demo ride with you on kentucky lake sat. of the elite series i have the stratos 201 you see many people thought you might not remember me i put about 300-400 hours a year on a motor so the old 250 hpdi is ready to call it quites so i need to move on and im going back to skeeter nation just didnt know alot about the 07's this boat has a 250 hpdi on it now as well

i would if i didnt have the stratos to move right now its easier for me to trade it in then sell it out right people get scared as hell when they hear the hour amount on the motor. the boat is clean its just like selling a car with 300,000 miles doesnt matter how clean it is they aint buying
