2 more days until my second unit arrives 😊

Striker 7sv....my first side scan.....can't wait...gonna order a transom saver instead of drilling straight through...gotta figure out where I'm gonna run ducer cable because I hear if I run it with everything else from back there it will cause interference....anybody tackle this?

Yall gotta understand, I have been competitive bass fishing since 2008 using 2009 lowrance xd50 units and fishing primarily Highland reservoirs....I have done quite well for myself, but these last two seasons it is evident in am falling behind my competition, especially dead of summer, late fall through early spring when finding fish is so important....first time out with my 7cv we located a school of crappie and just pounded them, in January, that I would've never seen with my old sonar! These new technologies have to be wreaking havoc with crappie...I know they are at one of the places i fish, and there are no limits on them

I think you'll be alright running the cable up with everything else. I think the interference complaints come from having the ducer wire on the trolling motor shaft.

I'm in the same situation. I just finally upgraded to side and down imaging also. I went with the echo map 73sv and the striker 7cv mounted side by side on my center console. I saw in one of your posts you fish sml. That's my home lake chasing these stripers.

yes I fish sml a lot, as well as moomaw claytor etc. sml has always been dear to me. I read somewhere that some people were getting interference on their sv when they ran ducer wire up with motor wires and wires coming to cranking battery such as bilge lights, old fish finder. everything wire wise comes down the starboard gunwale. naturally, if I mount the headunit on the console, I am going to have to run the ducer wire up the starboard side, which is with the other wires unless I can find a different route away from the wires. I wonder if there is a sleeving you can buy to cover the ducer wire for added protection?
