First Baby Bug Home - newbie question where's the dash transducer

Finally got a break in the weather and brought the baby bug home today (pictures will follow soon). I have a quick question, I have 2 depth/fish finders and see the transducer on the trolling motor for the front one but I have no transducer on the back of the boat. There is a wire and a small brass plate in the back but no transducer??? Is it a thru hull mount for the dash unit mounted somewhere else? If so what's the small brass plate mounted back there.....temperature? Thanks for the help.

most likely your dash transducer is located in the area inside, down by the drain plug/bilge area. It should be a "shoot thru" hull type, the same transducer as the trolling motor. It's Epoxied about 6 inches from the drain plug. what you see on the outside of the boat with the brass fitting is your temp gage. Of course yours may be different, but that's typically how they are set up.

    Hope this helps you.

Thanks, I kinda figured that, but it always makes me feel better when I hear it from someone who has experience. I love these forums, so much information and very helpful people.

    Thanks JD
