    wind chime

Hi all I'm new to the boards. you guys have great information I have learned a lot and really enjoy reading what you have had to say. My question is this.........I just sold my 02 sx200 and am going to buy either a zx250 or a 20i series. During all my research so far I have heard nothing bad about the zx series while I have heard some people saying that the i series has some problems. 1 being the lock system draining batteries or not opening. 2 has been that there is a problem with the i series chime walking badly befor you reach top end speed something to do with the change they made to the hull. is this true or is it driver inexperience? any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Todd

I think the chine walking you refer to is porposing at lower speeds, that is more of a function of trim. I believe the newer I classes have already corrected this. I havea zx250 and I love it. And I liked the fact that it was about $7k less and bigger.

I got a ZX250. Its awesome. I also considered a 20i but it was heavier and I couldnt justify the extra cost. I did like the seats in the I-class better and console has a little more leg room than a ZX.

The lock system was taken care of in late 2006 early 2007 as was the chine walk problems.

I don't think you can go wrong with either boat, but IMO you would be better off money wise to go with the ZX250. Its longer and lighter and it still rides like a caddy but is fast as hell. I am jealous of Neil's new bug. That's the exact color and boat i want next.

I have a 20I and my father has a ZX250 with a 300 and I have to say even though my boat is shorter it rides so much better than his ZX250. It is due to the extra weight. I still get 75.1 gps with one person and a tournament load. The I class just has so many extra features that I love. Either boat is great, but I just prefer the 20I.
