    QuickDraw Offsets?

Quick question about setting offsets while using QuickDraw...

My local lake is currently 1.5' lower then normal. Do I set th offset -1.5 because the transducer is 1.5' low.... or do I set it at +1.5 to bring the transducer up to normal lake level?

    Thanks for the help

My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

I never can keep it straight. I have to either look it up in the manual on the MFD or just change it and see which way it goes :)

Recording offset: If lake is below full pool level then add (+) the difference FP=100ft Today level=90ft Recording offset = +10ft
If lake is above full pool level then subtract (-) the difference FP=100ft day level=110ft Recording offset = -10ft
Display offset: If lake is below full pool level then subtract (-) the difference FP=100ft Today level=90ft Display offset = -10ft
If lake is above full pool level then add (+) the difference FP=100ft Today level= 110ft Display offset = +10ft
Remember to compensate for the depth your transducer is under the waterline. For example: recording offset lake FP=100' today=90' transducer=1' below surface therefore 100-(90-1)= +11 for the offset or if lake is above pool 100-(110-1)= -9 offset

Right. We are never above full pool. Always at full pool or below full pool. So plus for the recording offset. Then I like to change the display offset in the opposite amount. Same number just minus.
