Anyone have an idea how to replace the bungee.Mine is starting to tear,and want to change it.Can you get to it from the rod locker,or is there some easy way to do it and where can you purchase it from.

They are pretty easy to replace. feed the end of the new strap without the hook through the hole, then open the locker and tie a knot at your desired length.
I always just orderd new ones from a skeeter dealership.
I saw once a place on here where you coud get them a whole lot cheaper. It was bungee wholesaler or something.
Maybe someone here will know.

I ordered some bulk off a lady on Ebay and fixed it myself. It is simple, like they said above just open your rod locker and run your hand up between the top cap and the edge of the locker and you will find where it ties. Tie one end back to your hook, feed the other end through the hole and tie off to the hook at the top of the rod locker. Here is a link to the Ebay auction where I bought the bungee cord:

Make sure to get 3/16" cord (same as original). 1/4" is a little to tight.
i got mine at the dealer. came with a new through the top cap fitting for like $5
