    More 93sv questions.

While browsing through the menu on my 93sv I remember seeing a way to control music through the unit. At the time it wasn't a big deal since my boat had an am/fm/usb radio. Fast forward a month and that boat is on its way to the boneyard. I want to rig my new boat once and be done, so I bit the bullet and sold my brand new 73sv and bought another 93sv for the bow. Id like to be able to use my console graph to run my music through but have no idea what I need to set it up. I won't buy another subscription to xm (getting ready to cancel the sub. in my truck) so I want to be able to run am/fm/usb/bluetooth. Is this possible or should I look at just buying another radio to fit in the flasher hole.

I dont have music on my boat, but I believe the only way to control it is through NMEA2000 to a compatible NMEA2000 music system. You should RTFM to double check that. You will need the CHIRP version of the 93.

If Im correct, you will need to add a NMEA 2000 backbone. A NMEA2000 starter kit should come with everything you need other than an additional drop cable to run to the music player. If you shop around you should be able to find a starter kit and cable for around $100.

Larry has it right. The 5, 7, and 9-inch echoMAP CHIRP units support FUSION-link. So, if you have a FUSION-link capable stereo connected via NMEA 2000, then you can control the stereo with the echoMAP. See page 29 of the latest version of the operation manual for more details.
