    Bouncing through turns

While at speed, I'm getting very bad bouncing when turning either right or left. Does anyone experince this problem with their rig. I've got a ZX200 with a 200 Mariner and a 24' Trophy prop. I don't recall this happening in the past, and the hull and the skeg are not damaged. I have to trim way down to stop it from happening, which sucks when I have to make quick turns Does anyone know what I can do to cure this problem? It seems like it just started happening suddenly, and there's no change in the boat. Any help here would be great.

    Re: Bouncing through turns (Mitriton)

you're not turning while under 40-45mph are you? if you're on high trim and turning it will do that. as far as i know, skeeters don't like going slow on high or higher trim. when you're running the skeeters ride high and when you turn and the boat leans the prop loses bite and the bow drops and if you don't keep on it and let off a bit it will porpoise. even on take off if i trim too quickly after i'm on plane mine will porpoise. all that tells me i'm trimming ahead of my speed.

If it just started out of nowhere I would think maybe a weight distribution problem?

Also, are you trimming off of feel or just looking at the gauge? It could be that the gauge is not working properly and you're not timed like you think you are.

It may be a change in weight. I'm also wondering if a higher pitch prop would help. I think I'm turning too many R's at WOT anyway. Thanks for the help.
