Gas Tank Leak???

When I leave all my rod boxes and compartments closed for a while, they smell of gasoline when I open them up, How likely is it that my gas tank is leaking? I can see no liquid or evidence of a leak other than the smell when the boat has been closed up. The boat is a 98 ZX185C.

This is pretty common, especially if you have plastic gas tanks. If you don't see any fuel leaking, I doubt you have a leak as it's likely the gas fumes being emitted through the plastic of the tank.
