    Gas fumes in boat garage

I have a 22x14 boat garage that is sealed fairly well. The problem is that the fumes vent from the cap and/or the filter or tank. My battery charger is in the rear compartment with the gas tank and i leave it open to vent the charger as the manufacturer suggests. After a day of boat sitting in there, the fumes are unbearable and i like to "get away" from the wife at times during the week and dink around in there but it gives me a headache.

Any idea if i can "seal" this area off even if i have to close the rear lid? And is there a trick to make the gas cap seal? I realize I would have to make the cap vent when using the motor.

You most likely have a plastic tank which is where the fumes come from, theyseep through the tank.
Best thing you can do is install a ceiling fan (which helps to dry your boat anyway) and a vent somewhere.
    that's my 2 cents.

Quit drinking. It's probably the boozes that give the headache, better yet, the wife.

Could install an exhaust fan in the roof or gable. They move enough air it would probably clear it out fairly quickly.

I think i sealed it too well with foil covered foam. You can see the remaining of the second roll there in the pic. I wrapped all the walls and continued on the bottoms of the ceiling joists and every seam is sealed with aluminum tape.
