I have a ZX185C and the SKEETER on the side of the boat is missing. The raised SKEETER ZX185C on the upper cap is in great shape leading me to beleive the lower SKEETER was remove intentionally. The boat is pictured below. I can still see a faint outline of the SKEETER logo on the drivers side. Any way to know what color the letter were? Also were there letters on both sides or only the drivers side?[IMG][/IMG]

If you haven't seen it, you can look thru the Owners Gallery for some examples. Seems like they were usually in black, white, red or silver. They were on both sides, but taking them off because of them being below the rub rail and getting scratched by timber was/is very common. Many have redone them and installed the smaller decals above the rub rail like the newer boats.

I've debated replacing my logos on my ZX225 with the old school Skeeter bug logos for something a bit different. Just cannot get the guts to remove perfectly good decals yet.

What year is it? It may not have the decals on the side.....only on the cap.

yep you're right, they did have them.
Funny cause I was debating removing my side ones and putting some on the top cap.
I had mine made in 14k gold
I like the raise letters myself But that 1 boat that guy had letters made for Looks Great
Mine does have the raised letters on the top cap, towards the rear of the boat and on both sides. I was just thinking about putting the "SKEETER" on the side again.

My 98 zx185 has red letters with a black halo. It must have been a bad year for stickers since mine a starting to come off.

that's what was on mine, red on black. I hate red on my boat. The gold looks much better
How did you get the logo the right size and font?

Mine were red with black and came off after a few years. I had a local guy make me a couple identical stickers and they still look good.
