Hello, i know I will receave a lot of heat on this however hear it is. I had a Triton TR-20X, when i changed the wartanty they sent me two hats team Triton. I purchase a 21-I and you know this is a $50,000 boat.I did not get a kiss my A, or A hat Its not about a $10 hat. However my Son purchase a ranger and got a package. Do I need to purchase a hat to promote the Skeeter boat?
If you want an "I-Class" Skeeter hat, I would be glad to mail you one free of charge. I have a couple of extras that are brand new (hand-outs from various tournaments), and I don't own an I-class boat. If you really want one, just IM me an address.
P.S. I am glad to hear that they did not send you a "Kiss my A$$"
Just remember you bought a Skeeter because it is a better boat not for the free apparel. Anyway IMHO free hats and lots of advertising is the only reason Ranger and Triton are as big as they are.
Well, a few years back i bought a new skeeter. Some people on here also bought around the sametime as me (before or after) and recieved rods with their names on it. To this day, i never got one. Don't know why or if it was a special promotion. My dealer probably kept it for themselves.

I got one of the free rods when I bought my boat in '05, also my dealer gave me and my wife both hats, told me to just pick out some that I liked and get them. I figure it comes down more to the dealer giving out free stuff than Skeeter having much to do with it. I'd bet if you would just asked your dealer they would of given you all that stuff you wanted. Besides, I'm going to bet that when you bought your Triton, or when your son bought his Ranger, y'all both paid for all the freebies you got, No matter if you knew it or not. Same way with the free rod I got, I bet somewhere in the price I paid that rod was figured in. There aint no such thing in this world as a freebie, you pay for it somewhere down the line. Just my .02

I think the promo type stuff is on the dealer. Although I agree that nothing in this world is really free, I think dealers should set up their buyers a a few "freebies" after a boat purchase - small price to pay to establish long term customer loyalty.
I was always wondering why my Skeeter rod had "Jeremy" on it??? It's a nice rod besides that though.

I got a couple of hats for my wife and I, but I asked for them. My dealer was like, look in the case and pick out what you want. It is on the dealer, not Skeeter directly.

When you bought your truck did they give you a free hat? These "Freebies" are paid for by the dealer. How bad did you beat the dealer up on the price of the boat? That could have played a factor in the $10 hat.
I've been in there before and just not a very friendly or helpful place. I know of several people who have that same opinion. I'm just thinking if that is the place, it wouldn't surprise me.
