    water pressure problem

    i have a 03 zx225/225v-max. just recently my water pressure at 5000 rpm's drops from 18-22 psi's to 6-8 psi's. i had a water pump put in about 6 months ago, no change to my setup,any ideas

    Poppet Valve replacement is what you should do, I have the same setup and I get 8-10 psi at WOT, I plan to replace my valve soon and have a new water pump/impeller installed in the fall when it gets winterized.

    take the poppit valve off an clean it out. remember how it goes on. only a few grains of sand in it can make it stick. pretty easy to do
