    Hot Foot Control Cable sticking

I need some help with a sticky control cable on my hot foot. Any suggestions?
It is on a ZX200 and if I need a replace where do I get it and what length? Dealers?

Re: Hot Foot Control Cable sticking (VTSkeeter)

    It shouldn't stick...I know I know....duhhhhhh obviously!
Does the pedal stick even if you disconnect the cable at the pedal? how about at the motor? Eliminate those two and if it is the cable then there should be a part number stamped somewhere on it. Youcan probably get it at any marine store or online....they may have to order it.
    OR
someone here might know exactly what you need

Re: Hot Foot Control Cable sticking (BjBnet!)

Thanks BJ. I did a dis-connect at the motor and the throttle linkage works fine. I did not try dis-connecting at the Hot Foot and see if it is the problem. Had it out today for the first time this season. It feels heavy when giving it the gas and returns slowly to idle. Maybe just the return spring. I will try test the Hot Foot and see where I have to go next. If anyone does know the length, I would appreciate the info. I don't want to pull the cable to find the labeling.

I fmemory serves, the number should be stamped within a few feet from the motor...I could be wrong.

Most of the Skeeters I have had I noticed its more of a ajustment at the motor.
When you take your foot off the pedel does the ideal go down to normal or is
it just hard to press down when taking off?
