    Div. II Championship

Love this level of college football - played d-II myself. These two teams have quality programs, as they have been in this position many times over the years. As fun as it looks, it's a shame they have to play in such bad weather conditions. It dramatically changes the game. I have no ties to either school; just rooting for a quality game.

I played in it a few times, hated it...I know both teams have to deal with it, but it can give a good team fits...when you just can't do the things you normally do.

Some tough conditions that will more than likely determine the outcome. I really enjoy watching the lower division playoffs. JMU knocking off 5 time defending national champ ND St. last night was a great game.

Coach Houston at JMU is an excellent coach. He coached high school football here in the Asheville area and led Lenoir Rhyne to the 2013 D2 title game.

Isn't this the Lion's last game as D-2...they go to fcs next year I think..that's all they been talking about around here..how much more money they are going to make.. More like how much more money they are going to charge for tuition......

As for football, coach Wallace had a very good run in the early 90s and won 3 straight titles...with local kids mainly...he is a very good coach...I've always had the utmost respect for him...

Just found what y'all are talking about. That's wild. I can't see the sidelines and would not want to officiate that.

There's not a lot of money in fcs either. The money is in tv contracts that the conferences and schools get. Not many fcs games on tv.

I think all the bowl games should be played in places like Michigan, Happy Valley, The Horseshoe or Kinnick on Jan 1. Some teams play in those conditions during the regular season, make it fair for all to play in that weather.

I guess you forgot that UNA was sanctioned for having triple the allowed scholarships (36 2 D2 Gulf South). My son played for Henderson State U '93-'96. I would read the UNA program each year and wondered how they kept signing all those studs with 36 scholarships. Those years UNA placed more kids in the NFL and CFL than Alabama and Aburn combined.
