Hey guys just wondering if any one has tried any other props on there new ZX225.
I can turn 5900 at WOT in 45 degree water. I was thinking of trying a 27 pitch Pro seris Prop and was just wondering if anyone else is tried any thing different. I know when the water warms I will lose some RPM's maybe I should have my extra 25 pitch reworked. Any Ideals???
tell us what you are running right now with speed and rpms. i run nothing but Turbo TXP's on my 04 zx225 and the txp runs great on just about every skeeter including the I class. let me know if you anymore info on the TXP
I can only run about 70 I weigh about 215 and thats with all my takle. I was thinking I could get more out of it. The jackplate is still set like it came from the factory.
the split in the jackplate needs to be around 2 1/8 inches. so you need to bring it up some.
Take the plate up to about 2" below the pad and start playing from there. IMO you will end up at approx. 1 1/2 to 1 3/4" below the pad with the Pro-Series. You should run 72-74mph at near 6000 R's. The TXP is a good top-end prop on the Skeeter also as mentioned, and can be ran a tad higher. Biggest thing is go to the lake and PLAY, you will get her dialed in eventually.
