Check out the above link:
Depending on the boat you order or purchase you can get up to $2,500 from Skeeter.
I feel pretty sure Yamaha has the extended warranty offer also.
Do you know when this ofter became effected. I ordeded a boat and the dealer said nothing about this offer.
The official rules said between January 1, 2007 and March 31,2007
The warranty must be registered by April 6, 2007. On the website post it says from now until until March 31, 2007. That posted last week. I need to contact skeeter for the exact details on this cause I actually picked my new ZX 190 up about 14 days before that posting. Kind of don't seem right, otherwise I would have waited another week to pick it up. I think you should be good, if you won't take possesion of it until the official dates. Does anybody know anything different?
I'm sure Yamaha will come out with something along the same lines as Mercury. Skeeter's promotion is pretty good. I was not too impressed with Ranger's though. If I read it right, you get a cover and the motor warranty and a GC. In reality that's only $600-800 worth of product. I'd take the Skeeter promo over that

Thanks Wrangler, that will save me $2200, if I have a problem it will save me $50000. Just placed the order last week, and Skeeter has been closed for two weeks. So they have not started the boat.
Most dealers will give that rebate to the customer. I found out about it 2 weeks ago, so are you sure your dealer did not already apply it when you bought it.
Matt
Hello Matt, I talked to my dealer today, that was not added in. He is seeing no problem with the rebate. I gess time will tell come last of jan.
No problem, glad I could help. BTW what did you order?
Kevin
I checked the site, I see it. 21 i class is the $2,200. We took the demo rides in the i class series at the owners tourney at Clark Hills in October. Very smooth ride.
Some dealers don't even tell you about it because they get the kick back on it. Its every buyer for himself unless you are dealing with an honest dealer.

I'm blown away every dealer would not promote that. The only time that's ever bit us in the ___ is when we sell a boat and the 2 weeks later they launch something. We've just gotten used to selling the boats in Dec and telling the customers to wait on Boat Show Promos and you'll get those. For the most part I think all dealers do this. I don't see why someone would not, this is our advantage over the competitor boats.
Matt
Matt, how do you think that will affect me. I bought mine just about two weeks ago. It is a 06 that was remaining in the dealer stock. I gave him a down payment to hold it until the money came in, paid cash for it and picked it up the begining of the 2nd week in DEC. A little bit confused about that. Like i said earlier I would have just waited had i known. And wondering why after waiting for the money to come through they didn't say anything to me about it cause the money came in earlier then expected.
It's a tought call. Because if they warranty registered it before they knew about the promotion then they don't get the reinbursement from Skeeter. We learned that lesson the hard way a while ago and that's the reason we wait a little bit after delivery before registering everything. But from that dealers standpoint, if in fact he made the deal without knowing it then he has a leg to stand on and if he did register it, he's not going to get his money either, so its a tough place to be for both parties. This may be something that he could talk to his rep about and see if Skeeter can help ease both of yours' pain.
We had this happen 2 years ago on a warranty with a motor. We sold a custom ordered boat in Oct, it arrived just after Thanksgiving and had to go to Florida ASAP and the customer was specific on everything being registered when we picked it up. Well sure enough on Dec 27th we received their boat show kit with the new promotion back-dated to Dec 1st. So now the customer calls us irrate. We did exactly what we were supposed to do, but there we were looking like idiots. So we called our rep and he took care of it.
Sometimes it's that easy, sometimes not. It's a case by case scenerio. I'm sure Skeeter sells a few hundred boats nationwide in Nov and there could be $200,000-600,000 out there that people want, but technically is not theirs. It's a tough line, because at some point someone has to give. Skeeter and the dealers want happy customers and customers want every penny they can get, its a major grey area that as a dealer we all hope to avoid, but get put in the middle every other year.

Yamaha Just announced their boat show promotion. An extra 3 years on HPDI and another 4 on 4-Stroke. I just got this over the phone so if I'm off a year don't hold me to it.
Matt
Matt when I talked to the dealer in november he indicated Yamaha was going to have a promotion the first of the year and I was going to get this. I have a lot in the fire, With the boat and the motor, Time will tell. If I don't get these I probable will cancle, will only loose $500.
