    Boyesen reeds on a 200XP???

My good friend "Outboard Moter Head" looked at my engine and thought I would do good to replace my reeds...maybe get some Boyesen reeds. Said I'd really get a good upper, and lower end boost..plus MPG. I'm thinking I need some "Proffesional advice". So what do you guys think Rusty?

Advantage better midrange punch, smother idle and if you eat one you won't tear up the motor, disadvantage you have to tear the front end off the motor and replace the gaskets, no difference in top end and the timing has to be advanced 3* or so. No real difference in milage that I've seen. CM

Only increases top end 1 mile an hour, the down side is, if the motor lean spits.....and it will, you will be installing new reeds, save your money...IMHO.
