    torque for jackplate!

    Just FYI i contacted skeeter today about the jackplate torque to boat, they said because the transom is composite there is no specified torque,just make sure the bolts are
    tight and your good to go!

    This seams a little strange to me. I would think a boat builder would have a set torque for something like that. My idea of tight and someone else's idea could be two different things. I have a habit of overtightening things if I don't use a torque wrench .

    I hear ya, but thats what they said, because of the composite transom
    you cant really overtighten, just use some common sence and dont put a cheater bar on it!
