    Livewell valve busted...

The control valve for my port livewell busted off at the back side. Does the whole cable need to be replaced or is there a part to replace? I tried to take the black plastic piece off the cable but it is on there!

You have to replace the whole cable. Seems to be a frequent problem, I just replace one under warranty. BTW, I noticed it broke in the threaded portion, and when you look at the cable you can see that the hole in the black plastic threaded piece is off center, and when they cut the threads the grooves went all the way through the plastic, causing it to break at that point.

Received the new livewell control valve and new cable today. Will try to install myself without killing someone. In the box with the cable was a rivet. What and where does that go? I haven't taken the things apart yet to see.....

LBM I had to replace mine too. It looked pretty sample to do. But if it is under warranty and a dealer is close let them handle it. Anyway good luck!
