Bug has arrived!

Finalized the deal today on the 95 Bug today I am happy to say ! but I do have a question? I will be detailing the boat tomorrow and would like to know what wax I should use that will protect her from uv rays, I have heard that some waxes although they say they are for F-glass boats may contain petroleum distillates which can actually cause oxidation, and that carnuba wax seals the surface rather that just coating it, and F-glass needs to breathe or it will yellow in time? Any suggestions fella's? Thank's JR

Congratulations on the new Bug! I recommend Meguiar's Flagship Premium Wax. It can be challenging to find in some areas, but if you have a West Marine in your area, they will have it.

I did mine this spring and really was real happy with the results. I used Meguires cleaner first and Nano wax. The "bling" guys over at fastbass.com recommended the Nano wax from eagle and it works great. easy on and off with great shine.

Man, that is a sweet boat. I would be proud to have it. I can't believe it's 11 years old. It looks almost new from the pics. Have fun in her and hope she don't give you no troubles.

I appreciate it fella's, It has only seen one owner in 11yrs a veteran Phx. Firefighter and he took very good care of it, and I will do the same! There some minor stuff I need to do that goes along with a boat that is 11 yrs old but that is expected. Thank's JR

I thought the same thing about the seats. I could Never keep white seats clean in a boat. Looks good though. Obviously someone can.

On these great roads of Louisiana, that boat wouldn't stay clean for long. I'm already falling into a slump with keeping mine clean after each trip. Just to tired.
