Ranger 522vx

I need some help here. I have a chance to purchase a 2001 Ranger 522vs powered by a Mercury 225. First is this boat underpowered? I don't need to go 80 mph but what can I expect in terms of speed and performance? It does have a jackplate. And second question, this is a much bigger boat than I need and will be pulling this boat with a 2004 Chevy blazer with a 6 cylinder. Do any of you guys have big rigs with a smaller tow vehicle. The price for the boat is $17,000. What do you guys think? Any info appreciated.

It is under powered with out a doubt but you can still expect to get about 60 mph out of that big rig. If that rig is extra clean it may bring the 17 grand but it would have to be extra clean. I have one here i am selling for a customer and it is pretty rough, has a 250 XB on it and asking 15 for it, i would rate it about a 5 with 10 being perfect. The six banger should be all right pulling that rig.
