    2013 Ranger Changes!

Aight. Let's hear 'em. What do you guys want to see added or changed on the new ones for next year?

I'll start, I'd like to see one in my yard! seriously, I imagine they'll incprporate a step up cooler into the Z520.

    Whatcha think??

Only change i would like to see is a tie up cleat right by the drivers console, that would be so handy for the guys who fish by their self a lot.

Re: 2013 Ranger Changes! (Carlos H)

Carlos is right. The step is seriously wasted space. I vote for turning the cooler in front of the passenger console into more dry storage and the step extended out a little farther as a cooler. A removable cooler or cooler liner would be a bonus in my opinion. Also, the coin box could be a little deeper.

Would love to,see the new 518 layout be available in the intracoastal. Also have a z521 intracoastal. I have already spoken with a rep from ranger and said it was a great idea that he was going to pass that on to the design team. We'll see if it happens but it makes sense to. They should make all models available in intracoastal to order IMO. They have the molds, just change the hardware and wires and trailer. Can't be that difficult too do.

Or how about a digital LED screen with gauges instead of the gauges itself. Could be cool if finished right.

how about power poles that fold into the top cap flat and then deploy on command. as an option. adjustable seats that can lean back would be awesome.

    1) separate livewells
    2) ditch the polished aluminum trim on the rear
    3) move entire boat from the consoles to aft deck back about 4-6" (Z520)
    4) Ditch the z 100 series and make a ZR series (18-21 feet) that will run with/away from any of the BIG names in the market place (just to prove they can)

Automatic navigation lights that pop up/down when they are switched off/on so I don't have to constantly dig them out when it gets dark.

One other thing, a drain plug with a device like shuts your livewells on and off with would be nice to have.

    Re: 2013 Ranger Changes! (rzone)

Better drainage, drainage tubes around compartment channels, add drainage on the floor near the cup holders, (Z21) Or reshape the floor so that water flows to the sides or to the center better. I like the idea of removing those stainless steel bars on the back corners and make them non slip pads, Rodneys idea about the drivers cleat, Ive been toying with installing one myself but I just tie off to my steering wheel. A better net storage spot, How about a finish panel that seals off or closes up underneath the drivers console wiring mess. Flip up storage at the drivers and passengers console, some boat company has it , maybe Gambler, Shearwater?

I can't leave anything stock, I can't leave well enough alone.
I need to customize everything. I think I can improve others
    designs, sometimes.
