Tell Me About Your Z118 w/ Dual Consoles

I would love to hear some feedback from owners of a Z118 w/ dual consoles. Do you have enough room? Is the added protection (for passenger), storage in and below the console what you had expected? If you had a "Do over", would you get a single console? The Z118 just keeps coming up as the ideal boat for me and the way I fish. I currently fish out of a 15' 8" ProCraft. Thanks.

I have a Z518 with dual consoles and the only drawback I've seen is getting rods out of the port side locker. I find myself bumping the console when I don't pay attention. Coming from a Z521, I had an extra cooler there and had plenty of room. Still, given that, I love the look of the console and the storage of the glove box. The protection for the passenger is great too because I fish with my little ones a lot and like them to be able to curl up underneath or at least get out of the wind.

I ordered a single. Have a dual 205 but moving to a smaller boat, I wanted the open area and unlike Ka'King my girls only go out once a year and they get their fill of fishing. I am very surprised Ranger hasn't done what other boat builders have done and made it removable.

I have a 2011 Z118 with dual console. I am very satisfied with it and would order the same boat again. Yes, it does take a little room but the comfort for the passenger is well worth the trade off. I also like having the glove box in the passenger console. It gives me plenty of room to store all the small things, glasses, cell phones, sunblock, etc. If you fish any in cold weather the protection for the passenger is much appreciated.

For an 18' class boat it has a ton of storage.

Man I love that these rigs.. I almost pulled the trigger on a Z518 last weekend in Legacy color w/200 Pro XS..

Ranger should just cut back to either the Z118 or the Z518 and split the difference of the 150 & 200 and hang 175's on them..
