Are all of the 198's called Comanche or is there a cheaper model? Thinkin about buying one and wanted to know what it would be worth...NADA is showing around 29000.00 but with the market today, hard to tell what they are going for....Has two 520's and 80lb maxxum and hydraulic jack plate.
Boat is spotless with low hours...It does say Comanche on it and the dealer selling it said that it was the more expensive model.

All the 198 are the same. Here are the ABOS Bluebook values.
LOW WHOLESALE 23280.00
HIGH WHOLESALE 25700.00
HIGH RETAIL 31600.00
Average retail on NADA is 26940.00.

All of the 198's were not equipped the same, that year the comanche package was an upgrade that consisted of things like SRS seats, a butt seat with power pedistal, 3 bank charger, remote oil fill, retractable rod straps, lighted compartments, and a depth finder on the bow. If I remember correctly the package dealer cost was in the $1000 range. The hull is the same, the options on a "Comanche" boat were different though.
I think Josh is right. I have a 2008 40th Anniversary model and on the side of the boat it has Ranger 198 VS and there are no Comanche labels on the boat or trailer.
I've also got the Ranger paperwork and the order states it's a VX and has all the options described above. My friend has the same boat with the Comanche package and it's has the exact same equipment as mine.
I got mine out of state at a dealer who was closing up shop and got a hell of a deal on it and I don't care what's on the side of it.... I wouldn't take 28K for mine knowing what it would take to replace it with anything close to it.
Adding a HDS with Structure scan to it this afternoon after work,,,, It the perfect size boat for me considering the size lakes I fish and the rivers we fish down east in NC.
