Don't worry with it if it isn't leaking...............................just a tiny bit of moisture (condensation) in the hub will make it look milky. 99.9 percent chance that nothing is wrong Sir.............................RR![]()

I have the same issue on one of my hubs but I just haven't gotten around to replacing an inner seal that is bad. I just keep an eye on it and if I'm going on a long pull I replace the oil (50w racing oil). Just pull the tire, take out the set screw on the hub, rotate it and let it drain....rotate and fill. Refilling is a slow process, give the oil time to penetrate the bearings, it's a slow process but if you have a seal going bad just fill it as full as you can.
I agree with ghostcommanche. Replacing the seal might not eliminate the milky look. If it is visibly leaking then change it, otherwise just replace the oil. Been there. You will drive yourself crazy trying to make it perfect.
I was just on a trucker site. They have trouble with their liquid filled hubs leaking too. One thing they recommend is using Lucas Hub Oil. It has a additive that stops leaky seals. They cut it 50/50 with motor oil to get the viscosity down.

I asked Ranger about this. Their official answer was, if you don't see any oil film on the inside of the wheel or the oil level is full in the window, don't worry about the color of the oil. On the newer Ranger trailers they made it so you can't see the oil color on purpose. They did have a few years of bad hubs but have changed venders. My ranger is a 2000 and I just changed the oil for the first time. I replaced it with Valvoline 50 wgt racing oil. It has a caramel color out of the bottle. So all that being said, check the inside of the wheel regulary. I look at mine every time I launch. Just abou tevery hub that I have seen that failed was the result of no oil and the inside and the parts were actually rusted. HOPE THIS HELPS.
