Whats The Disadvantage And Advantages To Power Poles / Talons

I have a buddy that is becoming a power pole, dealer and he wants me to run power poles on my Ranger Z118, I just want the Disadvantages / Advantages to owning each. I like the New power pole Blade 10' verison I fish alot of deeper water so I like this one alot.

I'm considering getting a power pole except for one thing. This one place I fish a lot has a bridge that I need to go under. It is real close to my out board passing under it. I guess I would need to remove the power pole every time I would fish there? Are they easily removable?

The power poles helps stop and position the boat. Like a lot of things, it is a tool.

I have a spot under a bidge that requires that I lay on my back and push the boat int. I lower the PP to be even with the boat and take the top off of the motor. As long as there is water, you can always lower the PP and I have been able to get into all of the places that you can without one.

Your bridge issue will depend on water depth since you will lower power pole to get under bridge. If you have > 4 water, your motor will hit before the power pole.

I have had two PP's on my last two rigs. They are true game changers.

No, you just lower it down, and I don't think you'd even need 4' of water to be lower than the motor cowling. Same for getting it in and out of your garage...just lower it enough to get under and you're good to go.
