I have thought about getting this for a long time. Seems like a no brainer as it will be an easy way to gain a bunch of deck space. Does anybody have one already installed? I am gonig to order straight from Ranger. Also I am bit afraid to drill holes in my boat. How is the install on this? It is easy and does anybody have any pointers? I have never drill anything through the gel coat. Thanks!
I did it on my 188 and it was very easy. I only installed 2 of the 3 support brackets. I put them on the sides, and left the middle one off (less holes to drill) since it actually sits on a ledge anyway. Initially I did not put the brackets on but it kept falling as I sat on it. It does NOT come with instructions but it is apparant how it goes.
Just make sure you mark the spots where you drill. Then take a shot of Jack Daniels, then drill!
One answer.,.get it. It was the best thing that I bought for my boat.you will not regret it. I have the same boat and it makes the front deck bigger than it alread is. I can send pics tomorrow if you like
