    Re: Compression check (DUP1014)

#3 is within 15% but low, I would try a decarb and recheck.

    Re: Compression check (DUP1014)

Your compression is fine. Variation between cylinders should not exceed 15psi (100kpa). Your highest is at 100 and your lowest at 88. A difference of 12.0 psi.

PS. Did you check your compression with the engine at normal operating temp, not cold ?

You will get better readings when the engine is warmed up to temp. If still lower by that much I would still decarb and check again, just to prevent sticking rings,if you haven't decarbed in a while or don't run a carbon preventive.JMHO

The xd-100 will help clean and keep your engine clean, It's what I run in my 03. If it's never been decarbed then it may help. Warm it up and see what #'s are with water of course.

If it's never been decarbed or haven't been done in a long time, I am with the Bassmeister, do the decarb. I don't think the XD-100 will actually decarb but, it will help clean and keep any additional carbon from building up so, get her clean and the XD-100 will help you keep her clean.

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.
