719 pro XP 225 Merc Pro XS

Well I must say I was tempted for the last time. I loved my Stratos it was a rocket, but I finally jumped. First of all thank you to my wife..
I drove this missile home from Fox Lake Harbor yesterday and despite the below freezing temps here in Wisconsin I couldn’t concentrate any longer, at 9am this morning I went home from work and took it out on the lake.

Dam Cold!! 29 deg to be exact..
That 719 Phoenix with the 225 pro xs Merc kicks ass!!!
I will update after a little work on setup it has the 8" Manual Plate, 25 Furry all my tackle and 20 gallons of gas 2 guys 74 MPH 5800 rpm, but get this by myself 6100 rpm 77 mph!! I never would have thought, I have never been so impressed with a boat everything about it!! It is the complete package built by fisherman for fisherman and fisherman that like to run high performance bass boats need to check it out. Thanks Brandon and Steve for getting me into this rig.

Have to say that is the best i've heard of anyone on here getting out of the 719, you must be one hell of a driver...I talked to a local guy today with the same set up as you and he's seen 74 tops and that's what i've got with mine with the SHO...good job!

Re: 719 pro XP 225 Merc Pro XS (bassinbama)

Thats one mile an hour faster than our old SHO 719 combo with just me in it and a half tank of fuel.

I new that bird could squeeze a little more.

Well I hesitate to say this guys, but I feel I could squeeze a little more out of it. Seriously driving this boat I feel like 80 is a reachable speed. Call me nuts but when the ice is all gone here and I have a day to play with it I will hit you all with the final #'s.. FYI a few things I need when running my boats are a realistic load typically 15 - 20 gallons of gas all my tackle and one person.
The next setup I will try is a 26 furry 10 hydraulic plate.

Wow! That is flat hauling the mail! I am seeing 73.2 right now loaded and solo, Still messing with it. Still pretty low on the plate but I am not thinking I can hit 77. Nice job

Re: 719 pro XP 225 Merc Pro XS (SHOboat719)

My best so far was 74.1 with half tank of gas, two guys and fishing gear. That was before I raised the plate up to 2 1/4" below pad. I haven't been out on any big water lately to open it up again. I'll be in Texas in two weeks and should be able to let my bird spread its wings a little. It would be awesome to see 77 out of her. A special note.... I fished with three dudes in my boat last week and was surprised to hit 70.4 with a bunch of fat asses in it.
