    2000 200hp ficht needs help

    MODEL RE200FLSSH SERIAL NUMBER G04825246 WHILE FISHING A TOURNEY TODAY MY FICHT RAN GOOD UNTIL ABOUT 1/4 MILE FROM THE LANDING. I WENT FROM 5900 RPM AT WOT TO 4800. I LET OFF THE GAS FOR AN ON COMING WAVE AFTERWARDS IT WOULD NOT GO BACK UP. FELT LIKE I LOST A CYLINDER OR 2. I CAME HOME AND RAN A COMPRESSION TEST 118-120 ON ALL 6 CYLINDERS.PLUGS COULD BE CHANGED BUT DIDN'T LOOK THAT BAD. I HAD NOTICED IT FELT LIKE A MID RANGE SURGE EARLIER BUT SINCE I WAS PLAYING WITH A DIFFERENT PROP I THOUGHT MAYBE THAT WAS IT. NOW THIS! ANYONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS? I DID CHECK THE FUEL FILTER AND IT WAS OK.NOT H20 TRASH OR DEBRIS IN IT WHEN I TOOK IT OFF AND DRAINED IT.

    Please turn your cap lock off.

    You posted the plugs could be changed, Start there and see what it does.

    It could have been a spun hub only your RPMs should have shot up.

    Defintley did not spin a hub motor has a definite miss under load. Changed plugs and did not help.

    What plugs did you use?

    Did you index them?

    It had QC 12 PEP in it I replaced with QC 10 WEP.

    Do you have any other ideas of what this might be and how much it'll cost to have repaired?

    Hard to say with out checking a few things like spark since you mentioned it seemed like it lost a couple of cylinders.

    Mine did the same thing last year after I ran through a small patch of chestnuts. It went from 5800 down to around 4800, but it didn't miss. I was in first place and it was the last day of the tournament so I just held it to the peg and all of a sudden it cleared itself and went back to 5800. It ran great for the rest of the year til it blew two weekends ago. I would at least check your water intakes and flush them even though it doesn't sound like your problem. Not sure how it would act if you had an injector acting up. Computer diagnostic may give you some answers. Good luck.
