I thought someone here had a picture of the way they mounted their LSS-1 on a Phoenix. Can someone post that?
Thanks

Do it on a holeshot plate attached to the jackplate, it is the cleanest and most reliable way. Chuck will be along shortly to tell you why.
Do all manufacturers have a holeshot plate for their respective jack plates? Or is it a universal mounting device?
Yes, do it on a holeshot plate as Josh indicated.
Why? If you don't have it low enough and free of interference upward (and it does not take much) the LSS-1 is so strong that it can actually echo upward in to the frame of the jack plate and you get distortion/noise/interference or whatever you prefer to call it.
Re: the jack plate hole shot plate. Each jp manufacturer has their own or you can just get a nice piece of diamond plate aluminum similar to what's on our trailers, cut it to size and drill pilot holes and about 6 mounting holes to the bottom of your JP and then mount your xducer there.
Ed's is by far the trickest set up of them all however and he has pics posted on here if you scroll back through the threads about 60 days or so.

I'm in good shape in that I already have a holeshot plate. Just curious how you guys went about it from there.
