Minn Kota US2 and HDS7

I've ordered my boat with the 101 lb Fortrex with the US2 and Lowrance electronics with the HDS8 in the dash and the HDS7 up front. I know the US2 will feed into the bow unit - is it possible to switch (easily) between the US2 input and the LSS-1 input on the front HDS7 unit?

The LSS-1 unit can feed the network and therefore be available to either unit, but if the US2 is feeding the HDS7, how could I switch the input? I could imagine doing this for more detail, or if the US2 craps out and I still want the sonar up front until I can get it repaired.

Does Lowrance offer a a/b switch??

On my HB I have the SI and bilge transducers coming into a switch so i can cycle between the two.

If I am hearing your question right, you want to know if you can go between structure scan and tradition 2d easily. The answer is yes, they are just on different pages. Both inputs(feeds) are constantly there at the unit. You just pick one or the other or do split screen. Remember, if your LSS transducer is mounted at the transom, then what you are viewing at the bow is ~20ft behind you.
