    I finally got a good look at a 721

Phoenix is the top choice for my next boat with Triton being a very distant second. I finally got some free time and was able to get to look at a 721 up close.

    One word...................AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
This was the first time I had actually been able to look at the Phoenix.
Every detail was great. Seats were comfortable and with the tilt wheel I was able to get my big a$$ behind the wheel with eaze. Livewells were big and the battery compartment was laid out well. The 3 bank Minnkota charger tucks nicely on the port side. Is there room for a 4 bank MK charger to fit in the same space?
Still not sold on the rotary tackle system. Seems flimsy and takes up too much space. Trailer was very nice and it also had shocks. Dealer told me that was now standard? I plan on giving JR a call and get a demo to see how it performs.

Cool. Hope you enjoy your new boat when the time is right for you as much as the rest of us who have already made the move are now doing.

My initial impression of the lazy susan was that it was flimsy also, but rest assured we have had both the 721 and 719 in some pretty rough water and not had any issue's with boxes flying around or the lazy susan breaking. Some really like the system. I personally use mostly bags for my tackle storage and would rather just have the space up there. It can be easily taken out. And yes you can put a 4 bank charger in the battery compartment.
Looking forward to your comments once you get a demo ride.

I have had my 721 almost two years. The lazy susan has held up fine. I have been in very rough conditions on Lake Guntersville and Lake Eufaula. None of the boxes came loose. I really like the organization it provides for my crankbaits.

We found the rotary tackle system to feel much more solid once some boxes were put in it to create downforce on the bearings. No issues here.

There is room for a 4 bank charger.

Hope you have a good time on the test drive!
