    Finding a dealer

I live near KC and would like to find the closest dealer so I can take a look at a pheonix first hand. Trouble is I don't want to fill out their online form and get bugged by dealers just to find where they are. Can anyone help?

I filled out the form twice and NEVER got a call from anyone....

I had to call the factory to get a list of dealers close to me.

Marty's Marine in Osage Beach, MO. I have bought several boats from them, great people to deal with.

Ozawkie will be the closest for you w/ Marty's second. I talked to both before buying mine at Eberlin's in Hermann MO. Dale is 2 1/2 hrs from the Northland but it was well worth the extra miles for the price he gave me. If you want to come see one, I will have mine in the northland this friday 1:00pm to 8:00pm if no storms are on the radar. You are sure welcome to come take a gander.

How much do they run? I've heard that they were up there with rangers but then recently that they were a more affordable boat.

I'm sure it's not cheap with that SHO on it.

    Re: Finding a dealer (sniperfish)

Can I post a price on here? I don't want to upset anyone... Oh, and yes, it was high. I thought that everyone was talking about how they were affordable compared to other boats. Not really, in my estimation.

Oh contrair, if you put in the time to research this boat against others, you will indeed see a price difference.

Example: I priced a Ranger 188 which is in the same class as the Phoenix 618. I had owned Ranger in the past and wasn't going to count them out.

    Standard Ranger 188 w/ 150opti boat plus:
    Dual Console
    8 inch plate
    Hot foot w/ slider
    Dual trim locations (blinker trim)
    Power pole w/ butt seat
    Cover

    Price $33,899 out the door.

Phoenix 618 has ALL the above as standard, PLUS: live well pumps outs, net, removable console, tilt steering wheel

Price UNDER $30,000 out the door.

When it comes to bass boats, that in and of itself is NOT a reason to buy IMHO. My buddy has a 188 and I have fish it plenty, good boat no doubt, yet it doesn't compare in performance to the 618. Factor in the hull performance and fish-ability of the Phoenix and there was only one choice for me.

The key is to compare apples to apples and itemize the boats features side by side.

    Re: Finding a dealer (Cowoty)

I'm not trying to be contrary here. I can buy a loaded 21' boat with a 250 ProXS for less than the 719/225 SHO. I know that the SHO motor adds $1800 over the 225 ProXS, but it should still be a little (maybe $1000) cheaper than the 250 Proxs.

I won't publish any exact numbers, but the price that I was told for that 719 was less than, but almost $47K. This may have been the dealer's starting point on negotiations, but all that he managed to do was scare me out the door. He DID tell me that the boats were really hard to get, so there wasn't a lot of wiggle room on the price. If that price point is way out of line, I would like to hear it, so someone let me know.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look, fit and finish of the Phoenix boats and will continue to look at them. I just can't justify dropping Ranger-type money on a boat that may or may not have the resale that some other major boat brand does in a few years. And, no, I am no longer a Ranger owner or Ranger fan.

    Re: Finding a dealer (Tr200X2Seth)

I got a price on the 719 from 4 different dealers. Your price is just a hair high for a boat with everything on it. And I mean everything. A Z519 is approximately $10,000 more. A 19 1/2 foot Basscat is about the same as the 719. All my prices were with single axle trailers due to space considerations. Triton is coming out with a new 19+ foot boat. It's about $7000 less than the Ranger.

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when going to dealers. I know first hand that Ozawkie loads their boats up with options. I have priced Ozawkie with Eberlins and they are very close on price. Just look at the upgrades when pricing.

I agree Dennis, the two boats I was shopping were practiclly twins. Eberlin's got the nod this time.
