Fishing out of the Phoenix 721 Pro XP

Well I got to take my first real fishing trip in the Phoenix yesterday. All I can say is WOW! I had got to fish out of the boat one evening at the factory but not really put it to the test I did yesterday. Started off fishing windblown points for smallmouth. The Phoenix tracked really great in the wind and needed minimal trolling motor input to stay on course. The boat was seemingly unaffected even by some strong gusts and good size waves that I got into on the main lake. On the opposite end of the spectrum I fished some docks also!! This was also very impressive as the big boat was very nimble and responds very well to trolling motor input. The great tracking also really shined fishing the docks as it allowed me to concentrate on my presentation rather than have to be fighting the boat and trolling motor.
After some fishing I decided to run a couple of creeks with lots of twists and turns. Really pushed the boat hard and and it continued to impress!!! Handling is smooth and predictable almost sportscar like!!!! When you put it in the corner it doesnt bounce, slide, or hook as some other hulls i have drove before. The transition from skint back on the pad to lowering the nose with the trim and putting it in the corner inspires complete confidence and i was able to take the first few corners at wot only manipulating the trim.
Later yesterday evening picked up a friend of mine and we did some striper fishing. My buddy is a big guy at 6'3" 280lb. He was very impressed with the stabilty of the boat. Even standing on the gunnel the boat layed right there. I really came to appreciate the storage while striper fishing yesterday too.!! We had to change up a couple of times to find what they wanted and everything is so convenient and handy. Tks Greg and the design team for all the great ideas!! Especially the net storage!!
Ever since my first time behind the wheel I have been impressed with boat. After Fishing out of yesterday I can honestly say that the Phoenix is bar none the finest boat I have ever fished out of!!!

I was very happy that they fit just fine!! That was one concern i had in talking with Greg during the design process as alot of people in my area striper fish.
