    Trade In's

Anyone have any experience with trading in your smaller nitro towards getting something bigger? Does Bass Pro/ Tracker do this or would I have to go to a different dealer? Considering doing this in the near future if its even possible.

    I want a new Z8... Bad.

Most BPS that I tried to deal with didn't want to deal with me but I traded my 482 (Z6) in on a left over Z9 at Stokley's Marine here in Ky and they made me a hell of a deal.

Thanks! I personally hate dealing with Bass Pro. I may go talk to a couple local Nitro dealers other then them to see what I can workout!

Try a dealer first, i traded my old nitro in when i bought my last Nitro, i did mine on consignment. Consignment for mine was basically 10% and i used that money for a down payment.

I talked to BPS about trading in my Z-7 on a Z-9. The trade in value was lousy. I am looking at a couple of dealers (different manufacturer) and the trade in value from the right dealer is as much as $3000 more. BPS went by the blue book value which you can't include an engine upgrade from 150 to 200hp. It wasn't just BPS though. There are some dealers that will stick you if you give them the chance. I've tried 10 different dealers and only a couple have offered a reasonable trade-in.

Dont let them work you wholesale on yours to retail on theirs, never easy when trading, try to meet somewhere in the middle that makes you happy. Your best deal is to sell yours outright and buy your new one outright.

Trade ins on cars and boats is never a good deal. But remember to figure in your tax savings on a trade in. I'd bet its hard to sell a used Nitro at a dealership with the new prices being so good.
