can I use suzuki controls for a johnson motor?

right now i have a 1987 65 hp suzuki motor with electric start, power trim, etc.on a pontoon..I am looking to replace it with a 1989 johnson 9.9 motor with electric start and I am not sure about trim. Can I use the controls already on the boat for this motor? If not, can i use anything at all, like key, kill switch,etc...thank you

If i read this right why would you swap a 65hp for a 9.9 on a pontoon, is this pontoon like a party bardge. You might get about 2 mph with that motor.
