    Got to meet Kody today

Had the opportunity to meet Kody today at the Worcester, Ma. Outdoors show and have him show me all around a 2012, 211 Alpha All I can is WOW a very well laid out fishing platform. I really liked the small compartment to the right of the TM pedal to store scents, baits and to charge your cell phone Legend will be on my short list when I get ready to buy.

Only concern is the hull seems to sit much higher on the trailer than my Puma. I fish from some very shallow ramps. Would like to know others experiences launching from shallow ramps. Buddy of mine has a 2007 Champ 200 that is a PIA to launch from some of our shallow ramps where my Cat is no where as tough to load.

Kody thanks again for educating me on Legends.

Great meeting you today Dave! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the boat.

Something we didn't spend much time discussing was the trailer....the trailer you saw has the Illusion upgrade which includes the 20" wheels and tires, torsion axles, and wider fenders. That is optional, and our standard trailer comes with 15" wheels that make the boat sit much lower to the ground. --That may be the way to go if you fish a lot of skinny water ramps. We also offer 18" wheels on the Illusion for this reason....it drops the boat height a bit as well.

I've never been in a situation in 5 years where I couldn't get a boat launched with an Illusion trailer and 20" wheels, but it definitely sits a bit higher and that look isn't for everyone.

I just checked out a used 199 thats listed here in the boats4sale section. It definitely sits high on the illusion trailer, but the current owner said he hadnt had any problems with shallow ramps, and he initially thought he would. They are definitely sweet boats. The removable passenger console seems like a sweet idea. The access to the tanks, batteries, pumps, etc, is pretty nice too. I just wish there was a bigger used market. Pretty non existent at this point for a 199. I am looking at the 199's and the bcb Eyra. Storage length is a huge issue for me. Need to fit my rig in a 23-3" garage...... That really limits my options.

Your ramps will be no problem. I have unloaded a Stratos 201, Cougar FTD, PIV, and now a Alpha 211 from the same shallow ramp. The Legend unloads no different. Kody must have had those awful 20 inch tires on the boat you looked at. Those ugly things make the boat look more like a monster truck.
