Does Legend put everybody that buys a boat on the "Pro Staff"? Seems like every person I know that has one says they are on the "Pro Staff"?

I think you have a Pro Staff and then "team members". Some folks blurr the line and like to think they are a little more than they really are.![]()
2015 Legend Alpha 211R 250 Merc Pro XS
I bought a Legend 199 and should get it soon. I am not on the Pro Staff, but proud to be a member of the Legend family.
Jay
I just bought one, I am not on pro staff.
Guess y'all live too far north fellas!!Cause everybody in Texas and Louisiana is!! Don't feel bad cause from what I hear the pro staff deal isn't any better than normal price!!
Are you referring to the guy that bought a five year old boat and motor and says i'm a new pro staff member. I puked a little in my mouth when I read that.
I am a "Pro Staffer" and got a great deal by letting them charge me an extra 5k to be able to say so..![]()

Good question... Guess I will just have to send Dean & Randy a check every month @ the factory so I keep helping spreading the word..![]()
The real "Pro Staffers" are on their website under pro staff. I would never say I am a pro staffer if I don't even make the website. LOL. I will say that Legend does treat everyone so good that it makes you feel like a pro staffer. I am more proud to say I am a member of the Legend family than anything.

Great boat & great people for sure..
I guess what I'm getting at is I have a buddy Todd Castledine that has done very well over the past years in Everstarts and Opens and not to mention all the Rayburn and Toledo team events he has won. He qualified for the Elites 2 years ago but couldn't come up with the entry fees. He's won an Everstart, came in 2nd in one on Amistad week before last and placed in top 10 in other BASS Opens and Everstarts. He was Everstart Angler of the Year in the south last year and qualified for FLW tour, but chose not to fish it. He actually won a Legend a couple years ago and is now on his 2nd one. He's considered to be on their pro staff, which I believe he definitely deserves that title more than most of the ones that are. Yet he's not on their website as Pro Team. Guess I'm just wondering why some guys that fish a bass club are pro staff and then got a guy that has accomplished what Todd has and he's on the same level?
It has nothing to do with fish catching ability it has to do with selling. They are looking for people too sell there product. If you catch fish and can sell that is a bonus. If it only had to do with fish catching ability then KVD would be the only person sponsored on the tour?
A lot of companies have what is called "Pro Staff" and "regional" "Pro team". The Pro Staff is usually on the website and a national team asked to go to different places to support the product not just locally. Regional pro team members are only local supporters that help out at local events.
I guess I'd have to disagree with them on that. I'd rather talk to someone about a boat that is a successful angler and really puts a boat thru tests than a guy that wears a jersey and THINKS he is an Elite angler.
How many guys you meet that didn't THINK they were an Elite angler. All the guys I hang out with think they are ELITE anglers. LOL
Yeah Chris, you're right!!! I thought that mentality only existed down here!! Amazes me when I talk to people sometimes. I'm a weekend warrior and consider myself a decent fisherman, but know I'm nowhere near a professional fisherman. When you have a friend that actually fishes 5-6 days a week and his JOB is fishing you realize you aren't even close to that level real quick!!
