Clean up or Sell as is?

Should I clean my boat up a bit, or Sell as is? Or, price accordingly? I'm going to price it cheap and dump it regardless. Which will probably be one of the dumbest decisions ever.
The trailer carpet is miss matched, from prior owner. The tip of skeg is missing thanks to a Predator prop, prior owner. The seat back needs recovered, and has needed since I've owned, but I didn't want my little guy stepping on a new seat.
I just want a newer, bigger, maybe faster one that matches my truck.

I worked in the car business for a little while in both service and sales. I have seen wholesalers buy and simply clean a car from auction and take it back to an auction a week later and make $2000. It will ALWAYS make for a faster sale and bring a higher price if it looks as good as possibly can. You will recoup your money and then some if even if you hire someone to do it.

agreed clean sells. Shiney and clean sells even faster. People think clean also means well taken care of.

The main issue is I can't make myself quit fishing long enough to do anything around the house, let alone work on my boat.
I was going to when it got cold but our weather hasn't cooperated, its been way to nice & fishing has way to good not to take advantage. It's been a good problem to have.
Plus, I could really care less what I sell my boat for. If a dealer had a leftover priced right, I'd pretty much give them my boat so I wouldn't have to mess with it, and keep fishing.

Re: Clean up or Sell as is? (low slung cruiser)

I have yet to see a Sterling anywhere near my price range. Although I haven't really set an actual range, I know a Sterling is not going to be in it.
I want to stay in a Gambler, but we have absolutely no support here. Plus, the only other boats I would run are made 90 minutes from my house.
And the $'s just make since to run one here, just too many incentives vs other brands in tournament trails.
Plus you never see a Gambler for sale here, then I have added expense to get one in my driveway. We used to have a dealer and they were everywhere, mine has always lived on TRL.

'94 Intimidator IIB w '96 EFI that is supposedly really low hours (185?), and it sure runs like it. It was Blaine's back up boat, docked at Bridgeport. He was a flipper, so he used it to prefish the river about 1-2 miles from dock. He still has his other Gambler, and it looks showroom new.
