    Are these units the CHIRP or nonCHIRP version?

    I just saw your PM indicating you have nonCHIRP units. Here is what you need:

    X cable: 010-12234-07
    P72 inhull: 010-10200-20
    GT30: 010-01961-00
    Data sharing cable: 010-12234-06

    Once installed go to Settings->My Vessel-> select "Garmin GT30 + P72"

    If you want to run an inhull transducer, you need the x-cable, P72, and GT 30 I specified above.

    The GT40 is an all-in-one transducer (2D sonar, Side and DownVu). You can mount it on the transom. But, if you are wanting to run an inhull 2D sonar transducer, the GT40 is not compatible with the x-cable, only the GT30 (Side and DownVu only) is.
