94 intimidator setback questions??

Hello, I got a few projects I will be tackling this winter on my 94 Intimidator1. This question is for you experianced guys that have knowledge on this hull. When I bought this boat it had a fixed Gambler setback( I think a CMC manual ) 5". I changed it out and put on a 5 1/2" static setback and a 5 1/2" CMC Hydro on the back. The boat ran pretty well with the original setup and I was wondering if this hull needs the 10" + setback to run good or can I get away with the 5 1/2" hydro?? Just wondering what you guys found to be the best setback on the 94 19'3" intimidator1 . Thanks

I run a 10" hydraulic. Love it with LWP by bob's

Lee,I just took a set of 4" spacer's off mine. I want to runit with out them and see how it work's. anyway I have them if you want to try them. Just let me Know

Hello, I have 11" of setback now and was looking for benefits or downfalls of using less setback. Vince- what setback are you running now that you took the 4" out?? Keep me posted GamblerJewell, you have a hot running rig so you will definately benefit from the bigger setback but I am running low 70s and need the prop shaft 3-3 1/2 below to carry the bow. 6" ran it with out the 4" yesterday Holeshot was better and gained 1 mph on top
