    Gambler Parts/Setup Help

I have a 2007 Intimadator, 225 XS, 25P prop. Unfortunately someone before me took off the hydralic jackplate, so it has a 6" manual one on it now. I have a few questions:

    1. What prop should I be running?
    2. Should I go back to a hydralic plate, and which one comes stock on the ZR2 package?
    3. Where should the motor be set in relation to the pad
    4. Where can a find the little guage console, that sits below that sits on the floor under the console? I have seen a few boats on here with the finder mounted in there.
    5. If I don't go back to a hydralic plate, where can I get a gauge to put back in the hole, or should I have a cover plate built to hide the hole?
    6. What speeds do you guys see out of similar setups?
    7. I am not sure I like the trim on the floor, can I wire it to the blinker trim switch that is already on the boat?

    Thanks for the help!

Any ideas or guidance would be appreciated.

    Re: Gambler Parts/Setup Help (kmerical)

1-What 25p prop do you have now and what rpm and speed does it run at W.O.T.?
2-A hydralic jackplate is good to have but not a must. I would think it would run better with more than 6" of set back.
3-All boats run a little different. Start with 3.5" below the pad and move up a 1/4" at a time until you lose water pressure or pick up rpms without picking up speed, then lower it a 1/4".
4-No idea. Maybe someone else here knows.
    5-" " " "
6-I'm a little new to these boats but my guess is upper 70's
7-the trim buttoms are just 2 wire buttons. Moving the wires to a blinker should not be hard. I would try the buttons on the floor a few times first. Once you get use to them they are pretty cool.

Again, I am new to these boats. Other guys on here know a lot more than I do and may tell you my answers are totally off.

    Re: Gambler Parts/Setup Help (kmerical)

is that the XS or the PRO XS?
    1)either way you need a 27p prop...
2)100% yes, go to the hydraulic plate...A MUST
3)each prop/motor is different, with a hydraulic JP, you can make that adjustment on the fly
4)its not avaliable on the INTIMIDATOR 2000, its only on the 2100 and 2200
5)you'll want the gauge if you go back hydraulic, buy it directly through BOB's performance for about $150...
    6) spring time 80mph, summer 75
    7) you can have both, the dual blinker trim is $79 from TH-Marine, and leave the floor one there, they both have there benefits...

    hope this helps...
my dads got an 01 white intimidator 2000 with a 250(currently in the shop)...
    i've got a 03 black Outlaw 1900 with a 225 EFI...

    Thanks for the help

It is the Pro XS , I ordered a 27P Prop, as you were correct it definitely wasn't enough prop with the 25P.

What do you guys think is best on the Jack plate size?
