gambler 183gt ...need a idea on best all around prop

My dad has a 1988 gambler 183 he has 6" set back and is currently running 25 trophy plus..his holeshot is not to his liking and he wants more holeshot and doesn't care about top end..what prop would you guys recommend? He is turning a little over 5000 rpms on 1988 black max 150.. Did a compression check today and the motor is 120 across the board and is strong

I'd test a 23 tempest plus. If he has the smaller 4 1/4 in gearcase, I'd try a 23 trophy or TR04

yea.that motor needs to turn around 5800 or a little more...the motor should be able to turn a 24 pitch...but you are way off in rpm...the motor may be way too low...or the prop isnt right...or the tach is wrong...you will have to have any prop worked to get a good holeshot on the 183...
