Warranty on Etec

Is there a way to tell besides the dealer how long my warranty is on my Etec 225HO 06.Is it 3 or 7 years. I have had some issues with my dealer and just want to know what i am talking about when i go in there.

Don't forget that the warranty is the maximum of x years and y hours. When I bought the engines they came with a 1 year commercial warranty. I only found out after I had put on 800 hours that my warranty was out since the fine print which I was not provided states that it is actually the max of 1 year and 750 hours...

Your warranty started on 10-17-05 and ends on 10-16-08. It does not matter how many hours you put on it.

In the Latin America zone (which Barbados is considered to be a part of) recreational engines get 3 years or 750 hours & commercials get 1 year or 750 hours. (I am reading this straight off of the official BRP 2006 Warrantee which my dealer received)

If you had the extended warranty you would have received the policy in the mail directly from FPC within a couple of months after purchasing the engine.
