ZR2 Package & Trim Tabs

Hello, I'm going to plead ignorance here but could anyone please tell me what the ZR2 package has compared to a boat wothout one; & what year did Gambler start putting trim tabs on the 2200s? Thanks.

The ZR2 pkg = trim tabs & kevlar haul. I think it started in late 99 or 2000

Outstanding, thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. Today I bought a repossessed 2000 Gambler 2200 with a 225 Merc (I know, underpowered) for $12,995. The guy selling the boat for the bank deals in large ocean-going rigs and didn't know if the boat had the ZR2 package or not. I don't think it does because it doesn't have the trim tabs but for the price I got it for it doesn't matter. The boat & motor only has 53 hours on it and it is in immaculate condition. Is that a good deal or am I off base?

I believe the trim tabs started in 2001. I have a 2001 2100 and it was apparently one of 5 built in 2001 that didn't have tabs.

Thanks for the input Al, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the ZR2 package but I've heard good, bad, and indifference about them. I think I got a pretty good deal too, don't see how I can lose on this.
