Ran it today in the cool weather up to 81.34 MPH. Fasted I've had it. Done this with a 225 EFI and a 28p Hydramotive.

You had her runnin good today Noland.![]()
Good numbers with a 225 Noland, looks like you got her dialed in.![]()
I believe I've got it right on the edge of what it's gonna get. Maybe a worked 28 3-blade, but I'm more than happy with what I got.

That's running good...I ran a 28 Hydromotive on my 2100 with the 225 Pro xs and it ran really well light but when I added a partner full fuel and water in the wells I lost over 5 mph..
I ran a 28 Bravo 1 worked by Mark and it ran 80 light or loaded..
The Hydromotive was one of my fastested props when running light but when I added weight it was one of my slowest.. I hope it works better for you than it did for me..
The boat was light, full of fuel but half my tackle and no partner. The hydromotive belongs to Flippincrazy.
I usually run a 27 4-blade TXP. I ran it to 80.5 the same day, with a load it still runs good and comes out of the hole good. I just put the 28 hydro on for a few speed runs. Thanks.

It's funny you mention that Terry, I can run my Hydro to 88-89 loaded to fish by myself, but the fastest I can get out of it with a partner aboard is 82 and change.![]()
All that joking about selling it, I would have been pissed off if it was slower than my cheap prop

That is the reason I settled on the Bravo 1 that Mark worked for me.. It runs faster with a fishing load than the Hydro.. Believe it or not but I have actually run the Bravo faster with two and a full fishing load than I have with it just by myself and a fishing load.. I don't understand it but it will...
I am working on a custom built 29 Tempest that Mark has right now fabricating a special extension on the barrel that could end up being pretty fast.
I ran it to 84.8 gps with a flared plastic pvc pipe I made and epoxied on.. I am hoping the welded on metal flared barrel will work even better.. I should have it back in time to try it this weekend..
It will be B&B with tip cup added and a flared barrel extension..
What does the flared end do?

How about a pic when you get it back, Easier to understand what your doing. Sounds interesting.![]()
Helps with hole shot and stern lift.. I should have the prop tomorrow I will take a pic and post it for you guys to see..
Noland sounds like you got it going![]()

A couple years ago I ran WD's hydromotive prop with with a welded on flare. I think Mark was doing the work on it.It was a big prop, If memory serves a 30".
Here are a few pics of the prototype 29 Tempest that Mark fixed up.. Man he does nice work.. I just hope it will solve the hole shot issues.. If it does it will be a winner with the 250 Pro xs on the Gambler..
I can't figure out how to get the pics to be larger.. How do you do it??
